GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF JOB TITLE: Sales Officer is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with new and existing customers in order to grow revenue for the company. Sales Officer will work closely with customers to understand their shipping needs and develop creative solutions that meet their budget and timelines. In addition to customer service and sales, the employee is also responsible for preparing quotes, negotiating rates, and tracking shipments.

Job description Handles and generates documentation of various Export shipments ie Bill of Lading, Export Declaration, Certificate of Origin. Coordinates and ensure booking with shipping lines, forwarders, shippers, agents, trucking and account representative of all Export shipments. Provide notice of any hindrance of booking approval. Communicates and inform shipper/consignee of shipment status, tracking and trace of vessel movement until arrival at destination. Immediately advise shipper/consignee of any concerns or delays encountered. Prepares monthly Export shipment reports and submit to immediate superior.
